Assessments

chevron_rightWhat are assessments? To put it simply, assessements/dues are the monthly or annual payments owners make to the association. These dues go to the association’s operating and reserve funds to pay for association maintenance and improvements.
Here are some common items covered by association assessments:
- Common area utilities
- Landscaping
- Insurance
- Cleaning or trash removal
- Central boiler heating
- General maintenance of community amenities
- Snow removal
- Security
- Parking lot maintenance

Special assessments are monies, in addition to the regular monthly assessment, collected by a condominium, townhome, or homeowner's association from its members so that the Association can pay for expenditures not included in the Association's annual budget.

chevron_rightCan the association evict me for non payment of assessments? The associations can file a forcible entry and detainer (eviction) lawsuit against delinquent unit owners to evict owners for non payment of delinquent assessments.

You can also submit a Payment Plan Request, in writing, to the board to pay the past due amount.
All payment plan requests are subject to approval by the association and will be confirmed if approved
